What’s up guys, Matt from VapeFuse here back again helping to keep you up-to-date with the latest and greatest in vaping news and tech. So today I’m gonna be unveiling the Splinter V1 by RastaBuddhaTao which is an on-demand dry herb vaporizer that works with your mod.

So if you’ve already got yourself a mod vape which is useful like either an e-cigarette atomizer tank or even some concentrate tanks, like this Vivant Incendio that we’ve got here the works with a little e on top .

So if you’ve got one of these mods sitting around the house already, that’s what you’re gonna need to get your RVT Splinter V1 up and running, because this is basically just a 5-10 thread atomizer, the plugs into the top of your mod, with a glass attachment, quite similar to that of the Arizer Solo or Extreme Q or something like that and what it basically does is it generates a full convection vapor by drawing air through these holes around the chamber and it generally heats that a constant heat.

So if you’re looking at these ecigarette mod boxes, they come in a variety of different wattages and RBT recommends using a mod box with atleast 50 watts, however, we’ve been using this Vivant Incendio box, which only has 40 watts and been finally get phenomenal vapor out of it anyway, so I’m guessing for optimum performance and if you’re looking to pick up the whole thing as package, screw-up of 50 watt more bucks but don’t the test don’t be depressed if you’ve only got a 40 or 30 lying around because we even experimented with dropping the ones a little bit and still got some very decent clouds.

So looking at this one, you just attach this atomizer to the top of the mod box and turn it on and you can see it’s got this beautiful finish on the outside believe this is –wood so RBT plays around with a lot of different sort of special species of wood, when making these atomizers so you can pick it out and find one to suit your preference.

Looking inside this atomizer, it’s got this glass grommet at the top here, which is where the glass tube and herb chamber sort of plugs into here and also at the bottom you can to see it’s got a tiny heating pin, which helps to work in unison with atomizer to heat up the herb.

So if it was going to break down this tube here, it’s just this glass tube which has been handmade in Germany, as well as this little dome screen which plugs into the base here.So this didomeamond screen is pretty similar to that of the Arizer Extreme Q or V tower and so it works in a pretty similar operation as well, just slide it to the bottom of this glass tube, just invert your mod, slide the tube in and if you’ve packed in your ground herb finally enough or it’s sticky enough, it’s just going to stay in that screen and not fall down into the herb chambe.

So basically to use this one, you just want to set your box to as high as it goes, as I said 40 watts, preheat that one for a couple of seconds, so generally 2 to 3 and then you’ll inhale them while you’re heating it So this device, unlike devices that need to be preheated this is an on-demand device so to speak and it delivers great clouds from the get-go.

So with some other devices like the Arizer Solo, etc, even the Crafty, you have to hit the thing a couple of times before it’s really unleashing its full potential and giving you like large clouds of vapor, with this one here, a few seconds hit or the atomizer to begin with and then sort of holding it down while you’re eating and then as you feel the vapor starts to get quite hot in your mouth, release the button, finish your inhale release and then exhale and it’s the flavor that comes with this one it’s just phenomenal, super terpy, very fresh large clouds of vapor and not overly hot, thanks to the cooling properties of the glass now.

This device does not come in cheap, obviously there being handmade in America there’s a lot of associated cost with that, as you see like devices that come from Canada or the States, Germany that just brings that added labour cost into the situation, but it is a very high powered device although it is a super simple in both design and operation delivers massive flavors and hits of vapor that you won’t really get from other devices So as I said if you’ve got this mod box lying around at home and looking to get started with some herb vape then definitely consider that RBtT Splinter V1 as in my opinion this is one of, the most flavorsome and dense hits of vapor that i’ve ever encountered.

So looking at what comes in the kit on this one now, what you get is just this little wooden base itself which has a heating element embedded on the inside and the 510 thread on the bottom, as well as two of these borosilicate glass tubes, which as I mentioned, it’s hand made in Germany.

So the box itself, it’s awesome it’s got a very dark side of the moon kind of vibe, if you want to have a little bit of chill out, fire up a chamber, breaking it down, it’s pretty awesome on the inside too.

It’s unique I haven’t really seen much packaging done in this way, it’s obviously very sustainable, very eco conscious and he’s hooked you up with a bunch of accessories as well, so you can keep it going all day long.

It’s got three of these extra stainless steel dome screens in the base, so these obviously just plug into the bottom of your glass and they use for packing your herb into. These are things stainless steel you can soak the in an isopropyl alcohol to relinquish any hard to remove resin, if you want to clean those up and that obviously doesn’t have to be done to all the dirty, so you can just keep interchanging them and delay the cleaning process for a little bit which is great for the busy vaper out there.

The wooden base of the atomizer itself comes wrapped in this awesome little Hessian pouch so that obviously you can just take around with you whenever you’re using the device, you can even load up two tubes at a time, if you’re looking for a couple of sessions, chuck them in here with the atomizer and even your mod if you’re dealing with a smaller model like this Incendia and it’s all wrapped up nicely in this beauty cycle brown paper so you can see this one is a little bit of a darker finish to the walnut that we are using and i’ll test the model this is gonna be up for sale on the vape food store pretty soon so keep an eye out for that one growers and the bake use online store all very sleek very clean I’d burn this one off before I used it for the first time obviously but as it is a convection vaporizer it’s not going to play as a habit as if it was a conduction vape it has to be thoroughly burned off before you so burning off as easy is just chucking the atomizer onto your mod turning up to its highest wattage and just pre heating it until any sort of manufacturer oils or whatever can sort of just leach out so breaking down the kit even further besides the wooden atomizer and this beaut little Hessian pouch, we’ve also got two of these the borosillica glass tubes from Germany wrapped up in the same brown paper.

So taking that out, you can just, see very clean, very clear. I think a most beautiful thing with these is because they are handmade, you’re gonna get a little bit of a different feel with each one, so it’s never gonna be exactly the same piece of glass, it might be a millimeter out here or there but it’s cool, but you know that it’s a unique style thing and for a connoisseur vapor it’s always good to have some ends a little bit unique, you know you want to be a bit different have something that meets your style.

This is the second tube there, also included in the kit it’s just the basic packing and maintenance tools, so here’s your under these Titanium dabbers, which are also handy for removing bowls or loading a dab or whatever and also just this plain a little wire brush and the warranty and an instruction guide in the base here, this logo on the front So taking another hit at this guys we’ll see how this thing can really rip Obviously as I mentioned before, it’s a semi on-demand vaporizer kind of like the Lotus vape, so the Lotus was a similar device, you have to heat it up initially, to get that preheat happening as well, as heating it briefly while you use it before releasing and just finishing with an air to clear the, bit of air to clean the chamber, so just chucking all this back in the box and put this over her.

So obviously the box or the pouch can be easily taken into any bag where you want to keep the whole kit with you or just that little pouch whereas the box would be offering a little bit more protection but it’s up to you to fit in most bags or so the tote bag, anything like that.

Clicking this one back into the atomizer now, I’ve had about three hits from this chamber so far, we’re just gonna check the herbs, see what they’re looking like. So at this stage, there’s no charred, spots at all on this one it’s all vaped pretty evenly, one thing that I have seen through experience though, is you don’t want to be over packing the ball here, if there’s not going to be enough air flow coming through you’re gonna get hot spots and you’re gonna lose your terps early on and get a little bit of a charred flavor, so make sure that you’re just leaving it indented the tiniest bit so that it’s not escaping through that dome screen and just every couple that hits as well it’s good to sort of rotate your bowl at the top, as it can help just heat it a little bit more evenly.

So on 40 watts again now, it’s gonna preheat for two or three seconds and take a heat Woah, like I said guys, this thing blows vapor like no other and those terps are just off the chain, make sure to keep an eye out for the Splinter V1 at the VapeFuse online store and remember to subscribe to the channel to stay up to date, with the latest and greatest in herb vaping news and tech.

Thanks guys
